Tenaris, taking advantage of its hundred-year experience in the manufacturing of seamless steel tubes, the total control of the production process from the steel casting to the non destructive testing operations, and with the support of its internal R&D centres network, is able to comply with the most stringent requirements coming from an industry in continuous evolution.

As an example, special cold drawn tubes with restricted dimensional tolerances, higher surface quality and tailored sizes can be produced by Tenaris in a wide range of diameters, wall thicknesses and lengths. Those tubes are most commonly used in food & beverage industry, in medical applications such as breathing apparatus, in scuba-diving cylinders etc. Furthermore, the cold drawing process allows to produce lightweight tubes that can be used as liners for hoop wrapped (type II) or full-wrapped (type III) cylinders.
