| A Continuous Stream of New Discoveries
in an Open Corporate Culture
I joined this company in September 2004. I chose this company
because I wanted to work where I could get closer to different
cultures and utilize my Spanish language skill. Now Spanish helps
me with my job.
The main job of Sales Coordination of Order Management Division
is to pass down the orders received from overseas customers to
the mills smoothly. In short, it is the thorough management of
delivery schedules. There are lots of e-mails coming inquiring
about delivery, so we need to respond to them, too.
I make documents for clearance and shipping for exportation.
I think I am fit to this job. I sometimes have to make more than
10 documents a day, but sitting down at a computer doesn't bother
me. I go for a massage from time to time. (laugh)
I think this company has an open corporate culture. Everyone
is free to speak out openly. So meetings, for example, are very
constructive, although everybody exchanges hard words. As for
problem solving, unexpected ideas would be proposed. For me, everyday
is full of discovery. I don't feel peculiar stress and I can work
with little restraint.
I've danced flamenco as a hobby since I was a student. I saw
live flamenco dance for the first time while I was living in Spain.
I was captivated by the dance and went to buy the dancing shoes
soon after watching the show.
I still practice flamenco once a week but I am bit busy these
days. I dance on occasions such as dance recitals and parties.
It will be a refreshing change of pace. |
