A cooking experience between representatives from Tenaris Process & Power Plant Services and Allied Group as an unusual way to enhance customer experience and turn relationship into a partnership for new market challenges.

Initiative goal: guaranteeing more transparency in the relationship to serve faster and more effectively the customers.
Representatives from Tenaris Process & Power Plant Services and Allied Group have been involved in a cooking challenge at Barilla Academy.

During the last three years the competitive environment changed drastically and making alliances is becoming crucial to tackle market opportunities. “That’s why Tenaris Process & Power Plant Services is reorganizing its internal structure”, said Gregoire Flipo, DIPR Director, “to be closer to our customers’ needs and supporting their development together with highly specialized partners that can help us to add value to our package of products and services”.

 

To strengthen the partnership with Allied Group, worldwide leader in distribution and stock management in the buttwelding fittings sector based nearby Piacenza (North of Italy), a group of people from Tenaris DIPR Commercial Front End, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, marketing and inside sales departments together with 20 people mostly operating in the quality department at Allied have been involved in a sensory and cooking challenge at Barilla Academy, the prestigious cooking school linked to the famous Italian pasta brand that promotes the understanding of Italian cuisine. “Tenaris has been working with Allied for many years providing hollows for fittings to supply the product packages the market requires”, quoted Carlos Leite, DIPR Sales Manager for Western Region, “this experience was the opportunity to better Know each other with the aim of sharing information, know-how and the strategy of penetrating demanding niche markets with a common approach for global accounts in Nuclear such as Areva and Westinghouse, in Power Generation such as Alstom and targeted projects in the HPI segment. The team building initiative goes along the line of ensuring more transparency, reduce bureaucracy in the contacts and therefore guarantee a quicker and more effective answer to our customers”.

 

Allied Group, that acquired Tectubi Raccordi in 2003 and Raccordi Forgiati in 2005 and nowadays has in all 31 units worldwide among productive, commercial and representative, shares with Tenaris the same industrial project of worldwide expansion with solid local roots as well as the mission of provider with a comprehensive top quality offer witnessed by investments in the energy sector. Allied is, in fact, able to guarantee a complete industrial cycle, from production to distribution, alongside with innovation and has recently made one of the biggest investment in the North of Italy to produce bends till 56’. “In the last years Allied has been growing a lot and the relationship with Tenaris has become stronger”, highlighted Valter Alberici, President of Allied Group, “Sharing our long-term experience in the Nuclear segment, which will be strengthened by the capabilities brought by our brand-new plant, Tenaris has a partner it can count on to better serve the HPI and PG markets”.
