In order to meet the increasing demand for Dopeless® technology worldwide, Tenaris is carrying out a major investment plan at target mills and facilities.
The company is now starting up dedicated Dopeless® coating lines at its mills in Veracruz, Mexico and Cilegon, Indonesia.
Dopeless® technology is applied as part of a fully automatic process that ensures that the exact amount of the product required by each specific connection is uniformly distributed on its surface. Dopeless® technology is available on the full range of TenarisHydril connections and proprietary steel grades including chrome pipe.
Dopeless® technology is a multifunctional coating that allows operators to avoid the use of dope and running compounds during the running and storage of pipe. With this innovative solution, connections are delivered rig-ready, improving operational efficiency, well productivity and promoting safety on the rig while minimizing the impact on the environment.
